Tras una batalla legal entre su padre, José Miguel, apoyado por el mismo Fidel Castro, y familiares lejanos, radicados en Miami, el niño volvió a Cuba. Elián, hoy un joven de 20 años, está de visita en Ecuador, en el primer viaje que realiza al exterior desde que regresó a La Isla.
Participa como miembro de la Unión de Jóvenes Comunistas en el 18º Festival Mundial de la Juventud y los Estudiantes, que se realiza hasta el viernes en el parque Bicentenario, en Quito.
El joven conversó con El Telégrafo sobre temas de la política cubana y sus vivencias. Aquí presentamos en video un adelanto de la entrevista, que saldrá publicada completamente el jueves en la edición impresa de El Telégrafo.
